If you are going to be entering 4th-8th grade and love to play, the Game of Village may be right up your alley.
In the Game of Village you’ll join other kids to create, design, and build a village in miniature … complete with miniature characters (Peeps) to live in the village.
Your Peep can be anyone you want it to be, such as pirate queen, computer whiz, rock star, newspaper editor, or skateboarder. All Peeps are welcome in the Village.
With other members of the town you’ll find the perfect place to build the Village … in the woods, by a stream, under an orchard or in a field. A Village can popup anywhere.
And of course your Peep will need a house or some stable structure to call home. This can be of any design and made of any material – peeps have lived in castles, riverboats, long houses, treehouses and cozy cabins.
In addition to building a miniature town at Village 2024, there will be lots of other activities like games of capture the flag, swimming, singing, croquet and more.
The 2024 Village summer camp will take place in Nelson NH over 4 weeks, from June 24th to July 19th. Start thinking about what your peep might want to be and what your peep will bring to the town we’ll all create together!
Camperships and Camp Fees
Thanks to generous donors the Game of Village has camperships available for children eager to play who lack the financial means. For the 2024 program we have special additional funds to support kids from Nelson and Harrisville! Please click here to download the Campership Application if you will be requesting financial assistance for Village this summer.
The cost for this 4-week (Monday-Friday) day camp is $800. We offer a 20% sibling discount for the second and any additional campers from the same family. A $150 deposit per child is due with your registration form. The remaining balance will be due by June 1, 2024.

The Village 24 Registration form is available here for download. Please complete one per child. Village 24 will strictly limited to 24 campers and participants will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis.

Additional Camp Details
- Due to the involved community-building nature of the program we require that campers be able to commit to attending all weeks of the day camp. Accordingly, it is not possible to sign up to attend the Village camp for just one or two weeks.
- ThursdayJuly 4th will be a day off in honor of Independence Day.
- Village will take place at the Chalet Barn at 82 Lead Mine Road in Nelson, New Hampshire 03457.
- Campers can be dropped off at the Village summer camp as early as 8:45am (but not earlier) and should be picked up by 4:10 at the latest.
- We ask that kids not bring cell phones or other electronic devices to camp. We have chromebooks for people to use to produce a town newspaper or peep books.
- Everyone needs to pack a nutritious and fortifying snack and lunch.
- Campers should wear footwear sturdier than flip-flops and comfortable clothes that can potentially get muddy, paint splattered and grass stained. As camp progresses there will be days when kids are working in the shop area with hammers and hand saws building their houses, and for this we’ll require close-toe shoes as a safety precaution.
- Mark your calendars for the afternoon of Thursday July 18th which is when we will hold our Mini Fair and invite families and the larger community to come and explore the town that has been built at Village 24!
